Do you offer free consultations?

No, I do not.  I can speak with you briefly by phone to learn if the issues you have are ones that I work with.  If they are not in my area of expertise, I can help you find someone else.

What if I have to cancel?

You can cancel for any reason without being charged a fee as long as you provide me the courtesy of 24 hours of notice.  If it’s fewer than 24 hours, you will be responsible for the full fee. Insurance does not pay for missed sessions.  (If you wake up with an illness or have a true emergency, of course we can reschedule without charging the cancellation fee.) 

I do not send appointment reminders, so you are responsible for keeping track of your sessions with me.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept check, cash or Venmo.

Which insurance panels are you on?

I’m a preferred provider for Cigna, Beacon (formerly Value Options) and Magellan.  I am Out-of-Network with other companies, but we file the claims for you. Many policies have out-of-network benefits and pay something on your claims – you would have a larger co-pay.

How long are sessions?

The first session is 50-60 minutes.  Each session after that is 50 minutes.  Sessions start 10 minutes after the hour and go to the next hour.  Group therapy is 90 minutes.
